Director, Career Development & Internship Center
Shannon Curtis is the Director of the Career Development & Internship Center at Assumption College. She is a dedicated career advisor for all full time undergraduate day students, coordinates career development programming on campus, manages the CDIC’s employer relationships and acts as a resource for faculty members interested in integrating career development programming into their courses.
Prior to her role as Director, Shannon served as the Assistant Director of the CDIC where she developed career education programming and built relationships with student organizations, faculty and alumni. In this role, she also oversaw the CDIC’s annual Career Networking Night and launched the CDIC’s first Dress for Success Fashion Show. She also contributed to the College’s strategic plan by serving on several committees to improve academic programs and services.
Prior to joining Assumption College, Shannon worked at Boston University School of Management where she was a Senior Recruiter/Employer Relations Manager in the Feld Career Center working with companies to build successful on campus recruiting strategies and provided career advising for undergraduate and MBA students. Shannon has also worked in Human Resources at The Hanover Insurance Group where she coordinated internship and early in career and hiring. Shannon’s background also includes roles as a Professional Development Seminar Instructor and Enrollment Services Coordinator at Nichols College.
Shannon has an MBA and a B.S. in Business Administration from Nichols College.
Kelly Stairs M.A. '10
Kelly Stairs is the Assistant Director at Assumption College’s Career Development & Internship Center. In this role, she collaborates with campus faculty and organizations to create career development programming for undergraduate students. She also supports undergraduate students in their career and internship searches, as well as in building professional resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and navigating the graduate school application process.
Prior to working at Assumption, Kelly worked at Grafton Job Corps Academy where she created career development programming and supervised instructors in the implementation of the curriculum. She provided students with career counseling and career preparation instruction while developing relationships with staff and students to ensure student success.
Kelly has a B.S. in Psychology from Worcester State College and is an alumna of Assumption College where she earned her M.A. in School Counseling.
Experiential Learning Coordinator, Grenon School of Business
Sarah Kupec is the Experiential Learning Coordinator for the Grenon School of Business. In this role, she collaborates with campus faculty, local businesses, and organizations to create partnerships and experiential learning opportunities for Assumption students.
Prior to working at Assumption, Sarah worked in the corporate world in human resources and finance. Sarah’s roles have been client-centered focusing on building and maintaining relationships.
Sarah has a B.A. in Organizational Communication from Assumption College and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Assumption College.
Career Advising Graduate Assistant
Gabrielle Martinez is the Career Advising Graduate Assistant at Assumption College’s Career Development & Internship Center. In this role, she assists undergraduate students build professional resumes and cover letters, supports students in their internship and career search, as well as prepares them for interviews.
Gabrielle has a B.A in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies from Assumption College and is currently enrolled in the M.A School Counseling program here at Assumption.
Marketing & Communications Graduate Assistant
Gillan is one of two graduate assistants and focuses on marketing our events, resources, and services offered at the CDIC. She received her undergraduate degree from Assumption in May of 2019 with a major in International Business and a minor in Spanish. She is currently in the accelerated MBA program with a management track.
When you do not see Gillan in the CDIC office you will most likely find her waiting in line for an iced coffee at Dunkin’ on campus.
Alea Ketchum is a Human Services major and a member of the Assumption College class of 2022.
Kashmir Flood is a Sociology Major with minors in English and Psychology. She is a member of the Class of 2020. Kashmir is from Cromwell, CT.
Sarah Ardolino is a English-Mass Communications major and a member of the Assumption College Class of 2020. Sarah is from Wilbraham, MA.
Michael Turaj is a History major and a member of the Assumption college class of 2020. Michael is from Shelton, Connecticut.
Patrick is a member of Assumption College’s class of 2023.
Abbey is part of Assumption’s Class of 2023.
Devin is a first year student studying Cyber Security.
