Shannon Curtis
Senior Director for Career Development and Strategic Initiatives

Shannon Curtis is the Senior Director for Career Development and Strategic Initiatives at Assumption University. She is a dedicated career advisor for all full time undergraduate day students, coordinates career development programming on campus, manages the CDIC’s employer relationships and acts as a resource for faculty members interested in integrating career development programming into their courses.
Prior to her role as Director, Shannon served as the Assistant Director of the CDIC where she developed career education programming and built relationships with student organizations, faculty and alumni. In this role, she also oversaw the CDIC’s annual Career Networking Night and launched the CDIC’s first Dress for Success Fashion Show. She also contributed to the College’s strategic plan by serving on several committees to improve academic programs and services.
Prior to joining Assumption University, Shannon worked at Boston University School of Management where she was a Senior Recruiter/Employer Relations Manager in the Feld Career Center working with companies to build successful on campus recruiting strategies and provided career advising for undergraduate and MBA students. Shannon has also worked in Human Resources at The Hanover Insurance Group where she coordinated internship and early in career and hiring. Shannon’s background also includes roles as a Professional Development Seminar Instructor and Enrollment Services Coordinator at Nichols College.
Shannon has an MBA and a B.S. in Business Administration from Nichols College.
Andrea Svagdys-Gumbrell

Andrea Svagdys-Gumbrell is the Career Development Coordinator for the Career Development and Internship Center. She provides support to the Senior Director for Career and Student Success Strategies and the Assistant Director of the CDIC. As the Career Development Coordinator she is also a liaison between the CDIC and students, organizations, offices, and departments at Assumption University.
Prior to working at Assumption University, Andrea worked for over a decade in the hospitality industry for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hilton. She was the Director of Revenue Management at the Double Tree Suites in Waltham before spending the last 11 years raising a family, volunteering, and holding many leadership roles throughout organizations in Worcester MA.
Andrea is an alumna of Assumption College where she earned her B.A. in Business Management.
Abby Sproles
Graduate Assistant Career Advisor

Abby Sproles is the Graduate Assistant Career Advisor for the Career Development and Internship Center. She provides students with career development advising such as reviewing application materials, graduate school preparation, and exploring majors and potential career opportunities.
Abby is currently a graduate student in the Clinical Counseling Psychology program at Assumption University as she is pursuing a career as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Prior to moving to Massachusetts, Abby lived in San Antonio, Texas where she earned her B.S. in Neuroscience at Trinity University.
Caitlin Sze
Graduate Assistant for Marketing, Communications & Event Management

Caitlin Sze is the Graduate Assistant for Marketing, Communications & Event Management. She manages the CDIC social media handles in addition to creating flyers and graphics for CDIC events throughout the year.
Caitlin is currently a graduate student in the Accelerated MBA in Management program at Assumption University. Prior to Graduate School, she attended Assumption University for her undergrad, where she received a B.A. for a double major in Graphic Design and Communications and Media. Caitlin is currently the captain and a member of the Assumption Women’s Tennis team and resides in South Windsor, CT.
Chloe Callahan
Peer Advisor

Chloe Callahan is a senior at Assumption University, majoring in International Business and Economics. She is from Danvers, MA and has two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Her favorite thing about the CDIC is the team. Over the years the CDIC has become her second family, and it is transparent how much they care which shows in their work.
Roberto Martinez
Work Study Student

Roberto Martinez is a Senior at Assumption University studying Business Management with a Minor in Marketing. His favorite part about the CDIC is being able to interact with everyone around campus, especially when putting up the sandwich board and posters. He is the ultimate frisbee captain at Assumption and resides in Hudson, MA.
Lindsey Kuniewich
Work Study Student

Lindsey Kuniewich is a Junior at Assumption University studying Human Services & Rehabilitation Studies, with a concentration in Communication Sciences & Disorders. Her favorite thing about the CDIC is the welcoming and positive environment and and fun fact about her is that she is left-handed. When she is not in school, she resides in Berlin, MA.
Victoria Damiano
Work Study Student

Victoria Damiano is a Junior at Assumption University majoring in Organizational Communications. She enjoys the friendly environment throughout the Office at the CDIC and once she played the piano at a piano restaurant in the Paris, France! She resides in Braintree, MA.
Emma Peterson
Work Study Student

Emma Peterson is a Sophomore at Assumption University studying Elementary Education and English. Her favorite thing about the CDIC is meeting new people and a fun fact about her is that she loves iced coffee! When she is not in school, she resides in Hudson, NH.
Cassidy Elliott
Work Study Student

Cassidy Elliot is a junior at Assumption University majoring in International Business with a Law, Ethics and Constitutional Studies minor. Her hometown is in Billerica, MA and she is a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field Team at Assumption. Her favorite thing about working at the CDIC is working the career fairs while getting to meet students and employers.
Saige Reyes
Work Study Student

Saige Reyes is a freshman at Assumption University from Hadley, MA. She is majoring in Elementary Education with a Concentration in History. Her favorite thing about the CDIC is that everyone is always so happy and welcoming and they always have a smile on their faces!
