As your time as an undergraduate at Assumption comes to an end, the Career Development and Internship Center is excited to prepare you for post-graduation life! The Career Development and Internship Center provides career development coaching, professional development programs, and resources to help students make confident choices starting the first year of their college experience. Our staff offers individual appointments, classroom seminars, workshops and programs to provide students with the information needed to reach their goal.

Refine Your Skills

Visit the CDIC to improve your brand and application. Make a one-on-one appointment with a Career Advisor to learn more about networking, preparing for interviews, and writing a cover letter. We also hold mock interviews so you can practice answering interview questions in a lower stakes environment and receive feedback.

Apply to Opportunities

Whether you are applying to graduate school, a year of service, or a professional job. The CDIC is here to help. If you are applying to graduate school you can attend our Graduate School Fair, get help writing your personal statement, and find out the best way to ask for recommendation letters. If you are applying to a professional job you can attend our Career Networking Night and apply for employment opportunities through Handshake.

Reflect Upon Your Experiences

Think about your amazing experiences and all that you accomplished while you were in college. Make sure every internship, job, club/organization, and other opportunities are on your resume. Make a list of what you learned at each position so that you can remember your experiences to provide examples for cover letters or interview questions.
