Career development is an ongoing process of self-discovery. Being intentional and thoughtful about the experiences you engage in, the skills you develop, and the professional connections you make play an important role in this process. The Career Development & Internship Center (CDIC) is here to support you as you begin to complete on-hand experiences through experiential learning, internships, and research opportunities that will strengthen your skills in your area of interest.
Keep Your Resume Up To Date
As you continue to gain new experiences update your resume as you go along so you don’t forget the valuable skills you learned from each experience. Keep a running document of every internship, job, club organization, and other opportunity and the skills you learned in each one. Once it is time to for you to apply for a job or internship you will be able to choose your relevant experiences from the list for your resume. If you need help choosing what skills may be relevant for a position, or need general resume help, make an appointment with a Career advisor, we can look at your resume and give you valuable feedback.
