Sensata Interns have the unique opportunity to work on commercial projects in our Vehicle Business Unit divisions. Throughout the internship experience, you will receive direct feedback from peers and managers, and will have multiple learning opportunities working with various functions within the division.
The position will be based in our Troy, MI sales office. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the automotive industry. Internship projects vary from year to year and are based on current business needs at the time of the internship. Specific details will be provided prior to your start date.
As a Sales Intern possible responsibilities could include:
- Manage prototype and sample orders
- Create and maintain:
- Customer/product pricing sheet
- Customer tooling spreadsheet
- Customer contact spreadsheet
- Maintain document storage of official quotes, NDAs, T&Cs
- Work with Program Manager and Purchasing to tracking tooling and vendor PO’s
- Assist Customer Service Rep in the bilateral setup of new customers
- Assist AR department in following up on and closing past due receivables
- Support in managing customer portals, including customer scorecards
- Help NA Sales and Account Managers with the creation and updating of internal and external presentations
- Perform sales analysis
- Monthly IHS customer reports
- Customer reports/reviews
- Contract administration
- Assist with Salesforce data management
Successful candidates will be able to:
- Interest in Contracts, Sales or Marketing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong administrative, organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to compile, analyze and synthesize data into a usable format.
- Experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel preferred
Requirements:
- Must be currently pursuing BA/BS – sales, marketing, engineering from an accredited program
- U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident is NOT required for this position, however proper work authorizations will be required.
