About the position:
Work 1:1 with a student with medical needs and provide direct and indirect care to student in compliance with school district policies, professional standards of practice, physician orders and individual health plans. Maintain health records and complete appropriated documentation, collaborate with teachers, administrators, other student team members to ensure effective daily health supervision and assure that all immunization and physicals are up to date per school district policy for admittance to school. If applicable, work with and supervise Licensed Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant and delegate per NH state rules and regulations. Function in accordance with the NH Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and the School District Policies and Procedures. (Float/Cover nurse’s office at any of the the district schools if the 1:1 student is not in school)
Qualifications:
NH RN License
Experience in pediatric nursing or other related nursing area
Experience with trachs including suctioning and replacement
What we Offer:
PEA: This position is a full-time, school year position working 186 days per year. It is covered under our Pelham Education Association (PEA) collective bargaining agreement. Salary, benefits and additional association benefits are in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement which can be found on our website under Department Human Resources.
