While interns run their financial advising practice, they are supported by comprehensive training and mentorship.
Role: The Campus Recruiter plays a vital role as a recruiting leader within the internship program, with a primary focus on campus recruitment and selection efforts. This position collaborates closely with the internship team to implement recruiting strategies aimed at achieving selection process milestones and intern contract and conversion targets. The Campus Recruiter reports directly to Angela Hill, Chief Recruiting Officer.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review resumes, screen candidates, and schedule initial interviews
- Conducting initial interviews with candidates
- Build and develop effective referral sources, both in-office and on-campus.
- Promote and encourage the office internship culture.
- Promote and brand the Northwestern Mutual internship.
- Coordinate advertising and marketing strategies on campus including the career services website, online job postings and advertising to include ads, social media, community events, etc.
- Prepare and maintain recruiting and marketing materials.
- Schedule, coordinate, and attend on-campus recruiting activities.
- Communicate effectively about information and language regarding all aspects of the College Financial Representative Internship and each step of the selection process.
- Administer and explain selection process tools.
- Serve as the point of contact for candidates moving through the selection process.
- Attend applicable workshops, trainings, study groups, etc. for continued role and skill development.
- Attend all team events/retreats, social events, Annual Meeting, and Regional Meeting (as applicable).
- Develop proficiency and use of home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process.
- Prepare activity/results reports.
- Collaborate with the internship team to develop yearly goals in the following categories: Recruiting, Productivity, Conversion, and Leadership Development.
Results:
- Ensuring the office achieves contract and conversion goals.
- Personally bridge on-campus relationships and develop centers of influence to drive recruiting results.
