The Videographer/ Editor is an integral part in the marketing, development, and production of video content. This position will use video conception, production, editing, and project management skills. This position will support the video needs of all areas of communications. In addition, he/she will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously upgrading a cost-effective, reliable video archive and retrieval system.
The ideal candidate needs to have the go-getter personality. Always consider the entire picture when starting new projects. This person’s motto might be “I don’t understand everything, but I know I can do it.” An adventurous individual that fears nothing, and approaches tasks with an upbeat attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Shooting, editing, and producing, independently and collaboratively, videos for a variety of uses, channels, and needs, including television commercials, website/online content, employee profiles, highlight reels and more
- Identifying equipment needs/ issues to expand the departments’ video production capacity.
- Maintaining and updating b-roll footage.
- Maintaining a video database.
- Staying current on video shooting, lighting and editing techniques, equipment and production software, and techniques.
Requirements:
- Must have a High school diploma and be at least 18 years of age
- 1 year or more experience in editing using Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
- Have access to filming equipment (camera, lights, etc.) or editing software
- Ability to recognize story potential and work independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet complicated deadlines with professionalism.
