The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center is seeking a part-time social media intern to help increase awareness and engage our audience through social campaigns about our domestic violence and sexual assault services and events.
The ideal candidate will showcase strong communication skills, attention to detail, creativity, adaptability, initiative, and passion for the cause.
Social Media Intern Job Responsibilities:
- Helps organize, schedule, and post content
- Assists staff in brainstorming new ideas for honorary months. For example: Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, etc.
- Stays on top of social media trends, changes in the landscape and best practices in order to support new strategies and help maximize social media exposure
- Helps with “live” social media coverage at events as needed
Qualifications:
· Understanding of social media platforms
· Must have an appreciation for fun and humor, along with the editorial maturity, to observe traditional guidelines of accuracy, responsible presentation, quality, and trust that are inherent to the organization.
· A curious observer of news, trends and pop culture
· Passionate about proactively learning and researching new media and emerging technologies
Position would be a hybrid with mostly remote work and some in-person. This is an unpaid internship with the ability to work towards required college internship hours. Interested candidates can email a resume and cover letter to Rachelc@ebchouse.org
