Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Associate Director of Operations
Purpose: Responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding qualified and diverse employees for the SEIS contract. This role will also ensure that current employees are satisfied in their positions for employee retention, and promote SEIS through recruitment initiatives and events. They will work closely with the Human Resource Department.
Essential Functions:
● You will assist and serve as a liaison with the HR department to administer the talent development process, including recruiting, succession planning and employee development for SEIS employees.
● You will make sure that we are well positioned to identify, recruit, and hire the best talent. This means using effectively a central set of systems and tools to make hiring run smoothly and to make sure our processes are inclusive and equitable.
● You will also monitor and anticipate staffing needs on an ongoing basis assisting with job descriptions revisions and work with the HR department to support compensation review in accordance with agency policy.
● Working in partnership with the Human Resource Department and SEIS Leadership Team assist with implementation of the organization’s DEI recruitment plan and recruit candidates of diverse backgrounds for our positions across the Commonwealth and support the hiring committee process in accordance with best practices, organizational priorities and SJE initiatives.
● Collect all documents necessary for the hiring of new staff, beginning with the contract request form and all documentation of candidate qualifications and, upon approval from the SEIS Contract Administrator, forward hiring request packets to CES Human Resources Office.
● In collaboration with HR, provide assistance to hiring managers including utilization of ADP, scheduling interviews, preparing interview committee materials, assisting with reference checks and new employee hire paperwork.
● Develop a pipeline of SEIS educators, including the creation of short and long term staffing plans ● Identify external recruitment partners, events, and activities and create messaging to effectively publicize the work of the SEIS contract and vacancies.
● Communicate new hire compliance requirements to candidates including: criminal background checks, licensure and CV Vaccination for congregate care settings and work in partnership with HR to secure records accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications:
● 3 years experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
● Possess knowledge of operations and procedures that relate to provision of K-12 general education
● Demonstrated analytical and effective organizational skills
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership and as part of a team
● Integrity and a history of ethical decision-making
● Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral communication
● Public speaking skills and successful workforce training experience
● Ability to problem solve, including identifying the issue, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
● Proven track record of being detail oriented, inquisitive and collaborative
● Understanding of talent recruitment and hiring practices
Preferred Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in business management, HR concentration preferred.
● Skilled in use of ADP for recruitment and hiring
● Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel software and financial systems
● Skilled in the use of the following Google Apps: Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Calendar
Physical Demands:
● Ability to multitask, prioritize work, focus on details and respond to demanding job duties with a positive mindset
● Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment
● Able to view and work on a computer for long periods of time
● Must be able to communicate and converse effectively in real time with persons from multiple backgrounds and cultures, which may include providing training and/or technical support
● May occasionally need to lift and/or move packages up to 25 lbs
● Travel required
● Requires the ability to effectively handle job stress in the performance of duties

Terms of Employment:
● Full time, year-round position
● 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, additional hours as necessary
