Location(s): Southborough, Auburn, and Milford, MA.
Position Summary
Provides and documents the full range of physical therapy treatments and tests to all categories of patients, supervises supportive personnel and participates in educational services.
Position Responsibilities
Conducts physical therapy patient evaluations.
Specifies which definitive therapy assessment procedures are indicated.
Conducts definitive therapy testing and interprets patient data.
Performs treatment design planning and modification.
Designs and documents therapy plan of care.
Modifies therapy goal or plan if necessary. Evaluates, interprets and responds to changes in physiological state.
Evaluates and implements treatments. Designs and manages therapeutic program based on department standards.
Utilizes all appropriate equipment per department protocols and standards.
Utilizes knowledge and skills required to perform process involved in the delivery of ageappropriate
patient care. Provides care appropriate to the patient population served.
Communicates effectively with patients and caregivers. Provides and documents specific training related to patient’s dysfunction. Provides patient educational materials appropriate to patient and family needs.
Provides clinical instruction to affiliating physical therapy and physical therapist assistant
students.
Successfully completes all assigned clinical competencies.
Provides timely documentation of all visits and billing in the electronic medical record. Ensures
documentation meets Medicare guidelines.
Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc.
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.
Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Regular, reliable and predicable attendance is required.
Position Qualifications
Doctorate, Master or Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from a school accredited
or approved by American Physical Therapy Association. Licensure in Commonwealth of
Massachusetts. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of
various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Physical Requirements
Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
