The Client Development Assistant (“CD Assistant”) will provide core support to Goodwin’s Litigation Client Development (“CD”) team and will contribute to client development efforts including but not limited to pitches and proposals, webinars and events, directory submissions, and thought leadership. The assistant will also help maintain marketing collateral, assist with web page and bio updates, and track/manage reports for CD activity, event ROI, and client feedback. These projects often involve working with different functional areas across Goodwin’s Global Operations (“GO!”) Team including Marketing, Research Services, and Knowledge Management.
What You’ll Do:
- Track lawyer CD activity including outreach to clients and prospective clients, speaking engagements, and conference attendance.
- Provide support with respect to directory and award submissions including updating templates, managing references, and promoting successful outcomes.
- Maintain marketing material, including collateral, pitch material, matter descriptions, and lawyer biographies.
- Manage contacts and mailing lists in Microsoft Dynamics, leveraging suite of Client Relationship Management (“CRM”) tools.
- Provide in-person and virtual event support including collaboration on mailing lists, invitation development, promotion, day-of support including handling registration/name tags, and tracking and reporting post-event return on investment (“ROI”).
- Support the process of developing pitches, proposals, and RFP responses.
- Perform basic competitive intelligence and marketing research for client and prospective client opportunities.
- Assist with logistics of thought leadership development and promotion including through firm and individual social media channels.
Who You Are:
- BA, BS or equivalent.
- Some experience (co-op, internships, entry-level experience) in marketing, and in a professional services environment strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing assignments.
- Positive attitude with the ability to think objectively and work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to build rapport with lawyers and other GO! team members.
- Strong computer skills, including web-based research, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
