Effective Resume Objectives
A good objective statement tells the hiring manager the goal of your resume. It is only sometimes necessary to include an objective statement. It is essential to understand what you are using your resume for when you decide to add one. For example, include one on your resume if you are attending a Career Fair with several companies and recruiters and plan to hand out your resume. Your objective clearly articulates your career goals and what you hope to accomplish at the fair. If you are applying for a job that requires a cover letter, an objective statement is likely redundant and, therefore, unnecessary. Use the space you have on your one-page resume wisely to showcase additional relevant experiences.
