About the Opportunity
The Marketing team at W.B. Mason can be best described in one word – Magnificent. We take immense pride in cultivating our brand image, vast portfolio of products, dynamic vendor relationships and go-to-market strategy.
Working within our Category Merchandising team, this is a key stakeholder position that manages digital marketing planning and execution in support of vendor relationships within an assigned product category. Best described as the “business side of Marketing”, a successful candidate for this role will have exceptional interpersonal tact, problem solving aptitude and demonstrated time/project management skills.
Eligible Locations
This position is located in our Corporate Headquarters office in Brockton, MA.
Set in a Hybrid work environment, this role will work partly remote and partly in-office, with in-office time required for training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining vendor partnerships, including negotiating key agreement terms, helping to develop programs, and owning day-to-day communications
- Gain a savvy understanding of W.B. Mason’s marketing and reporting tools, and best practices
- Present marketing capabilities to vendors for the purpose of securing marketing support
- Build vendor marketing plans in line with negotiated program terms, and company initiatives
- Utilize relevant analytics, category, competitor, and customer data to support plan building, activity execution, and program negotiation
- Cross-functionally execute all elements of the marketing plans to ensure contract compliance; including, but not limited to: promotional item selection, creative influence, pricing
- Maintain new merchandise samples; coordinate process for new brand/new product reviews and assist with new item set-up, both from an operational perspective and online content
- Participate in assortment decision-making with manager and vendors
- Curate a best-in-class website shopping experience within the web categories assigned
- Liaison to purchasing, finance, accounting, sales and operations, responsible for ensuring all vendor-related concerns are addressed fully and in a timely manner
- Assemble vendor purchase data to ensure buying behavior is in-line with budgeted goals
- Assist with developing presentations to senior leadership
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels inside the organization and within the vendor community via phone, email, video conferencing and in-person interactions
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must have an expected graduation date of May 2025 or be a recent alumni
- If an alumni, 1-2 years experience in retail category management, merchandising, buying, planning and allocation, marketing or a related field experience required.
- Must possess a strong grasp of business math and exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
