coSpringville Center for the Arts is looking for a Visual Arts intern for our summer 2025 season! In this position, you will be responsible for the following:
- Events: Assist with large-scale multi-arts events like the annual Art Crawl. Set up, hang artwork, and facilitate art activity tents within the event.
- Public Art Corps: Supervise the group of teens we hire each year to paint murals around Springville. No prior mural experience is needed. Manage the group, help design murals, and participate in painting the murals.
- Art Camps: Run visual arts classes for ages 5-18 during our 6-week long summer program. Develop and facilitate art classes for kids to explore their creativity.
This is a full-time internship. Free housing is located directly next to the Art Center. Springville is a small but dense town – most things are within a short walking distance, so no car needed. Internship begins the last week of May and ends the second week of August. You will be working alongside and living with our theater interns but will not be directly involved in their responsibilities.
Preferred traits that make our interns excel in this position are communication, teamwork, initiative, and skills in painting, design, and teaching. We love students who are ready to try new things, aren’t afraid of making mistakes, and who are excited for a full and fun summer!
