Goodwill of Northern New England is looking for a talented and motivated AmeriCorps VISTA member to join the Workforce Services team. Goodwill NNE takes a holistic approach to address and overcome each person’s unique challenges and barriers to achieve life and work stability. Through customized services for individuals who are low-income, individuals with disabilities, individuals with juvenile or adult justice involvement, and individuals who have been laid off from their job, Goodwill’s Workforce Services department works with and supports individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life circumstances to become self-supporting and stable. Goodwill is entering into a 2-year strategic framework to help build and strengthen a commitment to become an employee-first workplace, fortify our culture, address immediate systems and infrastructure needs, while also building and strengthening partnerships.
Empower and lift individuals and your community out of poverty through service! The AmeriCorps VISTA Members will work closely with Senior Managers to implement aspects of the Workforce Services Action Plan. The VISTAs will work on defining and executing specific actionable steps for the priority area of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and policies.
The Outreach member will develop a comprehensive approach to workforce outreach strategy and partnership development in conjunction with Senior Management. They will be analyzing current client and partner outreach methods and creating tools to refine and improve those systems. Additionally, the VISTA will research and implement new and improved virtual client service opportunities.
The Training member will implement aspects of the Workforce Services Action Plan related to department training and certification. They will help develop a comprehensive approach to workforce staff training plan in conjunction with Senior Management. This includes researching training needs, the development of training modules and new training content, and oversight of project implementation.
Start and End Dates: The term of service for these positions is 10/25/2021-10/24/2022
