Did you know that in 2018, CVS Health bought Aetna? Now we are called Aetna, a CVS Health Company. With the actuaries from both Aetna and CVS Health coming together under the combined company, our actuarial community is now larger than ever.
Aetna/CVS Health Hartford Actuarial College Day is a half-day virtual experience for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. The event will provide a highly valuable educational opportunity for potential future health actuaries. It serves to introduce students to Aetna’s internship and full-time actuarial opportunities and is an excellent avenue for students to distinguish themselves in advance of the 2022-23 recruiting cycle, as several College Day attendees were hired for our 2023 Summer
Internship Program
What to Expect
• Learn about the roles of healthcare actuaries. Hear from the perspectives and experiences of
current Aetna actuaries, ranging from new hires to senior leaders
• Complete a case study on a health actuarial topic such as risk adjustment or medical cost
analytics
• Learn about actuarial work and gain tools to develop a successful career
• Discover Aetna’s actuarial internship and full-time programs
• Network directly with Aetna actuaries
• Collaborate with peers from neighboring universities
How to Attend College Day
• We are now accepting interest forms through Friday, March 10th
• Students will be prompted to submit their resume to HartfordActuarialRecruiting@aetna.com
• Students will be notified whether they’re selected to attend by Wednesday, March 15th
• Sophomores and juniors who attended in 2022 are still welcome to express their interest. While
some of the materials will be similar, they will be refreshed with updated information. You could
also expect to see an updated case study and have different networking groups
• We are asking students to be available for the entirety of the event to make this opportunity as
valuable as possible for all involved.
• All students are welcome to apply to College Day to learn about healthcare & insurance and to build
professional connections, as we are now able to sponsor international students for work Visas for
future internship and full-time opportunities
