In addition to your participation, we invite you to extend this invitation to 3 to 5 students (targeting Juniors & Seniors) who are considered your “high potential” talent based on academic excellence and an interest in learning more about the actuarial career path.
To assist you in your “high potential” student selection process, below please find a few highlights relative to our programs for early-in-career actuarial talent.
The Hanover Summer Internship Program: Actuarial Track
8 to 10 positions per year for our Summer Program (June – August)
Hire most intern candidates during the fall semester for a position the following June
Minimum Requirements: 3.0 GPA or above, junior degree status, eligibility to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
Optimal Profile: Math and Actuarial Science majors who intend to attempt or have attempted an Actuarial Exam (FM or P typically) who are well-rounded high achievers with demonstrated leadership qualities through academic, extracurricular and/or professional experiences
LAUNCH: The Actuarial Development Program
We typically have 1 to 3 positions open in the fall for seniors who were not Hanover Interns
4 to 6 positions per year for our full-time program, but most candidates are hired after participating in The Hanover Internship Program
Minimum Requirements: 3.0 GPA or above, senior degree status, eligibility to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship, and a minimum of 1 Actuarial exam passed
Optimal Profile: Math and Actuarial Science majors who have taken and passed one or more Exams (FM and P typically) who are well-rounded high achievers with demonstrated leadership qualities through academic, extracurricular and/or professional experiences. Students with Actuarial internship experience through our program or other carrier programs are preferred candidates
