SOC 121 – Principles of Sociology

This course is an introduction to the study of human society.  Students will learn the approaches, methods, and findings of contemporary sociology, as well as the continual process of understanding social interaction, groups, problems in society, and sociocultural systems.

This course would benefit students who have an interest in careers such as a Social services worker; Substance abuse counseling; Case management; Behavioral therapy; Residential counseling; Family counseling/intervention planning; Mental health specialist; or Geriatric care.
