PSY 116 – Abnormal Psychology

Students will gain a detailed understanding of abnormal forms of behavior. The course content includes research and theories that seek to define and explain these disorders. Students apply their knowledge of the disorders and the theories surrounding them to consider what it means to be labeled with such and to study specific cases of abnormal behavior.

Students who take this course may be interested in careers in: psychiatry, counseling, mental health services, case management, testing and assessment, psychotherapy, applied behavior analysis, or medical research.
