POL 205 Political Philosophy

This course is an introduction to the nature and place of political philosophy in the political thought and life of Western Civilization. It examines the basic principles of political philosophy according to thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, St. Augustine, Machiavelli, and Marx. Open to all students, this course counts towards “The Great Conversation” in the Core Curriculum.
