ECO 357 – Investment Theory

In this course students will examine investment decision-making using economic analysis. Topics include types of investments; investment objectives; investment return and risk; security analysis; portfolio theory; the efficient market hypothesis; fundamental analysis; technical analysis; the capital asset pricing model; and other topics to be chosen by the instructor. This course will give students great insight into the world of investments.

Students considering careers in accounting, government, nonprofit, business, banking, or finance may be interested in taking this course.

Prerequisites: ECO 110, ECO 111, ECO 115
