Whether you’re working, travelling, interning, or just relaxing this summer, there is plenty you can be doing to set yourself up for a success future right now.
No matter your year in school, it is never too early to work toward your goals! Here are just a few steps you can take.
Class of 2023
- Upload your resume to Handshake for review
- Continue applying for jobs that interest you
- Reach out to the CDIC for job search/application help
- Attend any networking events or career fairs in your area
- Network with alumni, classmates, and co-workers on LinkedIn
- Remember you still have access to all our resources until August!
Rising Seniors
- Review our sample resumes and upload your own resume draft to Handshake for review
- Explore fall and spring internships posted on the job boards on Handshake
- Conduct informational interviews with people working in your areas of interest
- Shadow a family member/friend at their job
- Consider your graduate school or post-graduate service options
- Strengthen LinkedIn account by adding any internship experiences
- Reach out to alumni working in your field of interest
Rising Sophomores and Juniors
- Review our sample resumes and upload your own resume draft to Handshake for review
- Explore majors and careers with our interactive exploration tool, Focus 2!
- Explore fall and spring internships posted on the job boards on Handshake
- Conduct informational interviews with people working in your areas of interest
